The signature dish, Famous Crispy Pata, is an absolute must-try. Perfectly deep-fried pork hocks boast a crackling, golden exterior that gives way to tender, juicy meat beneath. It's no surprise that many customers bring home multiple orders to share with family and friends, as Kristiny Mireny heartfeltly shares, noting how the dish remains delicious even days later when reheated.
Beyond the Crispy Pata, the menu is a vibrant tapestry of Filipino favorites. The savory Beef Tapa and the satisfying Tapsilog & Sisig offer comforting, flavorful bites anchored in rich Filipino tradition. For noodle lovers, choices abound—from the hearty Pancit Canton and Pancit Malabon to the delicate Pancit Bihon and the special Chow Mein varieties laden with chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp. The Special Chop Suey and Pinakbet provide wholesome vegetable-forward dishes highlighting the cuisine's diversity. And no Filipino meal is complete without a refreshing, sweet finish like the iconic Halo-Halo, its colorful layers of shaved ice, jelly, beans, and creamy leche flan whispering tales of summer indulgence.
Dining at Crispy House promises a genuine local experience—simple, unpretentious, yet filled with generosity and hearty portions. The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness, praised by visitors like Marissa, enhance the welcoming atmosphere. This is one hole-in-the-wall restaurant that serves a very tasty Crispy Pata (Pork Hocks). This is their signature dish. This popular restaurant does not even have a name outside. They just re-opened the dine in service. A must go-to eatery.
Crispy House (formerly Magic Wok) – Artesia, CA I’ve been coming to this restaurant since it first opened in 1986 when it was still known as Magic Wok. As a Filipino, I grew up on my mom’s and Lola’s home cooking—so I don’t say this lightly: when I can’t have a homemade meal, this is where I go. Now called Crispy House under new ownership, I’m happy to say the flavors are still exactly the same. It’s the kind of place where every dish feels like it was made with care, tradition, and love. Their Crispy Pata is legendary—perfectly crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside—but honestly, everything on the menu is worth ordering. Some of my go-to favorites are: * Lumpia Shanghai – crispy, flavorful, and addictive * Pancit Canton – savory stir-fried noodles that hit all the right notes * Sinigang – that classic sour tamarind broth with melt-in-your-mouth meat and veggies * Lechon Kawali – golden, crispy pork belly that’s pure joy with every bite This spot has been a family favorite for nearly 40 years, and it’s still just as good as I remember. If you’re craving real, comforting, Filipino food that tastes like home—Crispy House is a must-visit.
Went here for their Crispy pata. It's delish! We also ordered calamari, but I didn't like it as much. Hubby also ordered a breakfast combo which was ok. Halo Halo was also good. Order before hand. It was our first time here and we waited 30 minutes for our food. Also, it's only to-go orders.
This is a modest establishment ran by helpful, friendly caring staff. The food taste great, the prices reasonably priced and generous portions. I always visit when I'm in the area.
We love their crispy pata so much and we always get them for togo as a gift to our family and friends like whenever we're in the area we always grab like 2-4 orders of crispy pata ...it stays crunchy and juicy in the inside and if it's a day or 2 just pop in the airfryer and taste like freshly cooked again...first time trying their dine in... the order takes awhile and the serving of the other dish was a little small for the price but taste is good also but nothing special like their crispy pata.ill go back for the crispy pata again for to go but not to dine in.
We love their super crispy pata, Kare kare, pinakbet, lechon kawali, and their Miki bihon. Eating here feels like you are back home in the Philippines ???????? Thanks for the great service Crispy House!
